The Ne9ibladi Initiative is a national effort launched by a group of Moroccan youth, including engineers, designers, and students. In partnership with the Bahri and Salamander Associations, they share a passion for positive change and an unwavering enthusiasm for making a difference.
On Sunday, October 8, the first edition of Ne9ibladi took place. Its aim was to clean up some villages in the Al Haouz region following the earthquake, specifically in the central areas of Amzmiz, Asni, and Aghbar. We invited 811 volunteers from various cities to participate in this initiative, which gave it momentum and expanded its positive impact.
As a result, volunteers of diverse backgrounds and ages covered several affected villages, collecting a total of 11.5 tons of waste. We extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed, near or far, to this endeavor. Their participation is a testament to remarkable dedication and commitment in mitigating the waste accumulation after the Al Haouz earthquake. Additionally, we recycled at least 85% of this waste.
Ne9ibladi Initiative has multiple goals and dimensions, including:
- Instilling values of dedication and continuous support for the earthquake-affected community.
- Environmental preservation.
- Integrating civil society into such initiatives.
In conclusion, we encourage everyone to work hand in hand for a better tomorrow.
